MaxMed Privacy Policy

MaxMed USA Inc. values your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal health information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you use the MaxMed mobile application (the “App”) and compatible MaxMed devices.

1) Information We Collect

  • Health Data: blood pressure readings, heart rate/pulse, measurement time, device user selection, and related metadata from your MaxMed monitor.
  • App & Device Data: app version, device model, operating system, crash logs, and diagnostics to improve performance and reliability.
  • Account & Support Data (optional): name, email address, and any information you provide when you contact support or choose to create an account.

2) How We Use Information

  • To display, analyze, and store your measurements in the App.
  • To sync and back up your readings in the MaxMed secure cloud so you can access your history across devices.
  • To enable optional integrations you choose (e.g., Apple Health).
  • To provide customer support, improve the App, and maintain service reliability and security.

3) Data Security

Your data is protected using industry-standard security practices, including encryption in transit and at rest within the MaxMed secure cloud. While no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, we continuously work to safeguard your information.

4) Data Sharing

  • We do not sell your personal information.
  • We share data only with your consent (e.g., when you export/share a report) or with service providers who process data on our behalf under strict confidentiality and security obligations.
  • We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of users, the public, or MaxMed.

5) Apple Health Integration

If you enable Apple Health (HealthKit) in the App, MaxMed will write blood pressure data that you choose to share. You can manage or revoke access at any time in Apple Health settings. Data shared to Apple Health is governed by Apple’s terms and your device settings.

6) Your Choices & Data Retention

  • You can view and delete your readings in the App. You may also request deletion of your cloud-stored data by contacting support.
  • We retain information for as long as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

7) Children’s Privacy

The App is not intended for children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete such information promptly.

8) International Users

Your information may be processed and stored in the United States or other countries that may have data-protection laws different from those in your country of residence. We take steps to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place.

9) Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version in the App or on our website and change the “Effective date” above. Your continued use of the App after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
